After MUCH deliberation, finally decided to go with the c-4s... I figured that all the great reviews cant be wrong. I also want to plug a great site...www.bbproaudio.com the dude there is way cool, and gave me a good price. I heard about him in the ebay thread, and checked him out. The rest is history...Thanks to ALL of yall who helped me come to this decision. Merry Christmas!!

I agree. You won't be sorry about getting the C4's. Especially when the hyper-cardioid capsules come out next year.  ;)

I agree man. Those caps in the soundman mics were panasonic....Garbage...I am VERY happy with my choice. I think once they catch on, the price will go up..

No offense, if you arent. Its just that LDS is written on every book she has from church.Congrats on your toys as well. Let me know how they do.

The C-1 is a large diaphram mic.  It is cardioid only.  They cost around $200 each, with a case and shock mount.  They got a lot of rave reviews when they came out, but I have not heard of anyone using them for taping.  It uses the same diaphram as the LSD-2 stereo mic, which several people around here are using.
