I think you need to shim them for it to work.

You mean add some tape to make it a little bigger? Its seems like it might be to small for the clips and 4023 would work better?

Yeah, but I use the metal sgc clips and I think that is only an issue with the metal clips.  Nick Graham recently posted pics using the regular sgc clips and they seem to work fine with the lemo connectors.   

My guess is that the non-metal sgc clips will work fine with the 4023 lemo connectors, but not on the 4022.  BUT - I think that the metal clips could be bent and made to work well with the 4022.  Just a guess though, really.

so Moke, Rick or anyone else, did you guys figure out a solution for clips for the 4022s?  I would like to run them in a vark bar in an a20s mount if possible

I never did try it, Nick. I have my homemade pattern bars, and the dpa csm shockmounts.

thanks moke, I am hoping to avoid the dpa mounts as a vark bar in the a20s whould be a bit lower profile, but I may have no choice...

The best I've come up with is:

DPA CXO4000 (XY/ORTF Stereo Holder) with the Vark Bar Extender (bottom part) Part into an a20s. But unless you allrady have the vark bar, it would be pretty dumb to spend $50 just for that part of the vark bar. I'm sure there is some other kind of coupler you could use that's much cheaper. I allready had the vark bar.

You would have to get the CSM4000 (Compact Shock Mount) to work with the actual bar part of the Vark bar.

Small clamp with the A20 and the CXO4000 is all I have used. I am thinking of making a few DIY DIN and DINA bars. I have a few ideas in my head now I just need to stop smoking for a saturday so I can get it done. Maybe next weekend Ill have you all something to look at  and ponder if it will work or not. I would love to see a kwon bar for the DPAs.

alright, so here is another question...is ther enough body behind the capsule part of the 4022s to use the SG20 clips?  I have seen teh 4022s a bunch of times in person but have never considered this while I was around them

There might be, but there wouldn't be much room, if any, for windscreens and they are $30 each... Also the 4022s have two little (hard to explain) ridges on them so they fit perfectly in the DPA mounts. I'm not sure if that would cause any problems.

alright, thanks...I am thinking I need to just bite the bullet on the DPA mounts....looks like the cheapest I have found is $93.95 per at B&H...anyone have any other vendor recs?

I was hoping that I could run the vark bar in the a20s mount like shown and get clips for the 4022s, but it looks like my only real option is to get the dpa shocks...

Just thinking about this... I'm not sure it will work, its probably to small but how about the Neumenn SG 17mt ? Its pretty small.

Not sure, but they look smaller then SG20 clips... the problem is they are for 17mm... that's probably too small.
