split em 10'!!!!

there is nothing wrong with doing em A-B split like that.  More than 10' could make the dreaded hole in the middle, but one of my all time fave tapes are indoor split MK4s from 95 Phish

+t for splitting the 4022's. Never tried it myself but have thought about it, though in a different situation, for stage taping where one instrument is really low in the mix (like a percussionist off to the side), I thought a split with mics at the sides of the stage pointing inwards could turn out nice. Anyone ever tried this?

FWIW: I have Phish Molson 99' on split 4V's(V2>AD1000?), I think it sounds pretty nice. No idea how wide the split was on this though.

i've run split cards a few times, and they sound really good, imo.

though..i'm becoming a fan of much smaller spacings.  like 4-8' in my splits.
I'll be playing with a bunch of this stuff at the "big summer classic" show next week.

sounds like a new burger at McDonalds or something.

I am considering doing this at ACL this year as well, as there will be plenty of tapers...may have to give it a shot!

Try it when I'm there... we can do 4022(split)>722 vs 4022>722 and we hear what the difference is.

i may have to run your 4022s split at red rox in august if you send them over with Simpy!

I've run 4023's split just about 24' a few times.  But mine were sitting about 4' from each stack, but they certainly do smoke.....

Give it a shot!
