Schoeps double M/S. Where to set up?
« on: January 07, 2008, 01:17:05 PM »
Hey team,
I'll be taping this Thursday at the station inn in Nashville.  Taping my brother in law's bluegrass band (there first gig at the station  ;D ).

I'd like to set up a double M/S to tape the show.  I'm a bit confused at to where I should set up the rig.  I'm guessing on-stage right in the middle of the group....or should I stage lip it?  and....should I point the cards left and right or forward and backward?

I'll be using
AK 20
and MK5's into a R4 and will use the plug-in in post.

any ideas?  any help?

Thanks yall

I would say you want the cards forward and backwards.  And a single fig 8 to capture the mid for both setups.  Something like the link above.  Good stuff right there!
