Title: Does w20 R1 work for Schoeps vertical caps?

Doesn't look like it but hoping someone chimes in. I still there an option for verticals?

No firsthand experience, but I'd worry about possible deflection of the plastic "seam" that seals the two halves being directly in front of your diaphragm in that orientation.

It seems like you would be better served by the Rycote Softie / Super Softie type or Movo WST / WSTT screens that have the same material at more or less the same thickness all the way around in a seamless construction.

I recall reading that the the W20 R1 does not work for the vertical cardioid caps but never saw anything about the MK8. I emailed Schoeps and they confirmed that the MK8 was OK in the basket.
