Title: charging a sla battery...
Post by: save on February 14, 2004, 02:10:15 AM
i just got my v2 & sla 6v 7.2 mah in the mail.  i have a show coming up sunday that i want to tape and need to charge my sla before the show.  i'm not sure if when the last time the sla was charged, so i was wondering how long i should leave it on the charger?  no place local sells trickle chargers, so i'm gonna have to get a regular charger for now.  how long can i safely leave it on the charger?

thanks,
justin

justin, let it go overnight. i highly doubt that you'll experience anything abnormal.  what's your charger rating?

i have 7.5mAH sla's and use a 500mA output charger.  i just let the thing run overnight and haven't experienced any problems.  the sla's are lukewarm to the touch which is to be expected.
