Title: Denecke PS-2 and AD-20 external power adaptors
Post by: keepongoin on May 12, 2004, 03:05:11 PM
Ok, so these devices can be powered with a 9.6 volt external battery, but the plug seems to not be any of the standard plugs.  does anyone have a sources for this style of plug that will allow me to power these devices from a set of 9.6 volt batteries, similar to how the UA-5 is powered remotely?

I believe the PS-2 uses a mini (1/8") mono plug.  One thing to note: insert the DC plug *before* connecting the battery as the connection will short during insertion if the battery's already hooked up!

Sorry, can't help on the AD-20, though my guess is it uses the same plug.

It does.  The box that Denecke sells has 2 1/8 mono plugs on it.  If you check the other thread there is a pic of it.  You should be able to find it at Radio Shack...
