Title: Quick clamp question
Post by: heathen on June 30, 2017, 12:00:49 PM
Is the Windtech MPC-10 clamp strong enough to reliably hold up a heavy LD mic (in my case, the Studio Projects CS5)?  I'm assuming it is, but want to make sure.  I know the mic itself weighs just over 21 ounces, and the shock mount probably weighs about half a pound.

My plan is to attach the SP shock mount to the MPC-10, and clamp the MPC-10 to my stand.

Heath,
kindms uses this clamp often for his AKG c414's. They are pretty heavy, and this clamp does a great job holding them with their stock shockmount baskets.

I've never had a problem with an AT4033 center mic, it's a solid clamp.
