Just got this Cooper Pre on loan. Need a little help building a power cable & suggestions on what to power it with? At one point leegeddy was going to do this.

He was going to build a +18/-18v external power supply? But it looks like it will run off 12v to 18v.
Hoping I really like this pre. I need an external power supply though. From what i understand it runs for 3 hours on 4 9v's.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
