Replace the battery box with _______
« on: July 23, 2004, 01:59:32 AM »
Since I got my ATs modded I have been thinking about dropping the battery box in favor of some small phantom power box for stealthing.  What options do I have?

right -- either of these could be run into a small a>d too (like the sbm-1 or denecke ad-20/zefiro inbox)-- what deck are you using?

D7 or JB3 so an external ADC would be primo.

Little out my price range for how infrequently I stealth.  Normally run a UA-5 when open taping.

ya know, once you add the ps2+cables+external a>d, you're probably REAL close to the size of a ua5 + wallmart lion battery -- woudn't be too hard to sneak in the ua5/battery and stealth with that.

i think this would be the perfect time to check one of these out.  Seems like it does what you would want.

you know, i have run the ps2 and the ad20 combo and i have run the ua5+batteries of ac ouple different types... I can say that the PS2+AD20 is considerably more stealthy than the UA5.  They have belt clips and are easily concealed and run on small 9v batteries.

I love this unit, easy to use meters and sounds better than the ad20 IMO.
