DVD RW on lappie, how imp is it?
« on: August 12, 2004, 07:16:13 PM »
Seems like all the lappie's with a DVD write drive are quite larger.

stupid question time.... Can't I just transfer the 24/96 wav file to my home computer and have that burn a dvd audio disc?

You're talking xfer via a network or direct link, right? Should be any problem at all doing the transfer...as they just be files moving from one drive to another.

Right, I probably will transfer the files via an Ethernet wire or firewire. Not sure how to go about that. I probably need to set up a network between the two Win XP computers.

thanks, I think I will break down and get a small lappie this weekend.  ;)

What should I be looking for in a DVD player's description that will play audio DVD 24/96 recordings? It would suck to bring home a new dvd player just to play these recordings and nothing happens.
