Windscreens for active setups? Edit actually FOB setups.
« on: August 23, 2004, 04:06:34 PM »
Curious what everyone is using?

I don't need em for actives. I need them when I'm using the AKG swivels FOB.

Thanks
Jeff

I just bought the big DPAs for my caps... pretty sure that will do the trick.

The shures won't work- they're too deep

i would think that if you are indoors and fob, the standard akg screens should be fine

i have the shures and used them last thusday..no wind on my tapes, of course there was no wind period  :D

I was thinking ahead FOB at oak mtn.

I have the big shures but don't want to run them FOB just way too big.

I'm new to the FOB game so any suggestions are appreciated. I guess most run with small screens or none at all.

small w.screens, and mic obscuring covers (if it not fob allowed).
Some people drape black speaker cloth, lace, tie dyes, etc.
G.Dead fob days, we would rubber band tie dye scarves just behind the mic vents. it was great camo in a sea of color.
yep...I still use my silk tie-dye scarf...likewise I use the light DPA's for non wind and then the other DPA for light to moderate wind and the Shures when all else fails ;-)  Check the archives for WS listings..
