who madfe th vr box?
if its a bumblebee or toddr you SHOULD be fine
if they knew it was being used with a u5a when it was made you will be fine for sure
my vr box has the tip marked with a marker showing its polarity is reversed

its a bumblebee
then the only think you need to make sure is it was made for a ua5/jb3 and not a v3 or something else
if it was made for a ua5 then the cable will be right, you will know this - if you don't already - by if the plug even fits the ua5
