Sony D 50 and DA^PA 4061 with Plugin Power
« on: January 29, 2008, 07:08:03 AM »
It works perfect direct Mic IN with Plugin Power 2.845 Volt, the internal resistor from the D 50 is ok.
Max Currentlimit  for DPA 40XX is 1mA. Voltage is a bit low but works. Mikamp Noise is ok for louder sources.

Long time ago I made an adapter out of an Microdot Extension cable cutting thru.
Microdot / XLR and from connected ( my Mictrotrack  used)  XLR cable to 3.5 Minijack Stereo.
Will solder it again, now direct Microdot /Mini Jack .

Actually the mic is a bit underpowered,  to less current flowing to much noise. It would be better using a 9 Volt Batterie with an 9 k Ohm resistor for each channel and no Cap. The cap is allready built in the Sony. But wait with doing this at home. More info coming....
At the moment when a mic is plugged D50 Sony send a short time 2.88 Volt out. This for bringing up the Menue Dialog Plugin Power ON/OFF. I think when there is external 8 Volt ist will switch off the 2.88 Volt by itself.
