my samsung shows grey and black barsi don't know why or how but some channels its grey and others blacki like black better myself, and really like SD shows letterboxed - then you have black all the way around, looks kinda cool imo
with directv, you can choose the color of the bars...do i even have to worry about burn-in with an lcd set..?

For example if you're watching the simpsons, it will put grey bars on Channel 5 (SD) and black bars on Channel 705 (HD)... at least for me, this is a factor of what the box is sending to the TV.
