Post by: Joe w. on September 18, 2003, 11:31:32 AM
I'm need to pick one of these up to use with my dat drive so i'm wondering if there is anything in particular that i need to know. Seems to be several different types and i'm not sure what the difference is between all of them. any help would be greatly appreciated. My Dat drive is an external Seagate. I am on a windows machine using xp pro.

all you need to know is the amount of pins, 50, 68, 80 etc

since it is an ext scsi device it is prolly a 50pin

you are gonna have to find an older used card bc new ones are out of your budget

yeah it's a 50 pin. I've seen a lot of 68/50 pin setups. The slot on my drive is 50 pin. I assume the one on the card needs to be 50 as well.
