I recently ordered a Sound Professionals preamped mic. The manual says, that its input socket provides 9V plug-in power and that one should only connect microphones to it, which need plug-in power.
Is this consumber type plug-in power as dangerous to batterey powered mics, the AT822 for instance, as 48V phantom power? Or can I use dynamic mics and battery powered condensor mics with plug-in power devices like the SP preamps or MD recorders without having to create a special plug-in power disabling cable?
Thanks
