One Mic, many connections, or many mics?
« on: June 07, 2010, 06:51:23 AM »
I've got a COS-11 with the inline battery to an XLR connector. This is fine for connecting to a recorder, but what if I want to buy a wireless Senn/Lec/whatever setup which (due to size) is going to have a smaller connector on the transmitter. Do you guys keep a bunch of converters so you can plug your XLR mics into 3.5mm or TA5 etc? Or do you have multiple mics, or only use the lav with the wireless setup and never into the XLR recorder?
 ???

I think the lack of feedback is likely because most TSers don't have experience with wireless setups.  Most of us have a single set of mics, connected to a single preamp/ADc/recorder, and don't have much need to swap connectors to accommodate different powering and/or device input options.
