Help with Dropouts problem on a recording
« on: May 31, 2007, 04:56:41 PM »
hi guys...I need your help

yesterday I taped "Muse" in Florence with my AT853 > 3Wire BBox > AD20 > JB3. unfortunately I had some "dropouts" through the recording and I'm looking for the best way to try to repair them if possible. I think they're caused by a bad optical cable I used or by the cable movement when I sometimes checked the levels pulling out the JB3 from my small bag. I think it's the second option cause the dropouts are positioned during the songs where I checked the levels (I taped the cable to the JB3 wuite firmly but maybe optical cables need particular care and they don't like to be moved a lot??)

here's one of the most affected songs...please can you indicate me how to repair exactly?

and then...do you suggest me a better cable or you think it's only a "cable movement" problem?

thanks in advance

Luca
