Title: Cables for Mixer > Powered speakers
Post by: willndmb on January 26, 2009, 12:34:54 PM
i am looking for cables to go from a mackie 1402 mixer > powered JBL eon515 speakers
both the mixer and speakers have xlr and 1/4 in/out

can i get opinions on what might be better for one reason or another
ideally i would be able to go 100' from the mixer to speaker but i am not sure you can get over 50' cables
i am not sure the difference between low z and high z (besides one is for guitars, but not sure if it plays into account here)
thanks

ps i assume some star quads would be better then silver clad as far as holding up where people might step on it running across the floor??

can anyone also tell me how the gauge effects the signal
how would a 21 gauge compare to a 24 at 100 ft
