Topic: AKG 460 Stealth Q

Stealthing my first show tomorrow with these , followed by 2 this weekend .. running: AKG 461 -> Aerco pre -> D8.

I figure I can get the pre and D8 in the crotch, cabling (5fters) in as a belt, just not sure where to put the mics.. crotch will be pretty tight for room(haha no jokes please!)  any ideas ? Will have friend with, but he'll be bringing D8/Sonics...

I need ideas! I don't know how tight security will be, I'm assuming atleast some sort of pat down...

Reminds me of one show last year at the Paradise in Boston - hit the upstairs bathroom and the door is hanging off the hinges. Sweating bullets the whole time, but more because I was mad at myself - I realized going in that they never check you anyway. Might as well wire up in the car and just walk in if you're ever taping. But what sucks the most is having no surface area to put anything on. Major risk of a sploosh in most public bathrooms...

hehe this place rules... no pat downs at all.. we walked by to check out security.. was none. put everything in fanny pack and walked on in. All I can say is  PACKED with drunk punkers.. we just setup out in the open, no one said a word..
I was just gonna armpit the mics, but my buddy showed me the shoulder mounting way, which I ended up setting up outside and then we came back in( we coldn't find the power switch on the Aerco, like a bunch of retards).
Tape came out ok, too packed.. latter half sounds better when I didn't have as many people in the way..

anyway. .thx for ideas!!

If they are really small, like at853 small, clip them to your inner shirt then wear a shirt on top of it...i dont recall my chest and stomach ever being patted down...
