best way to clean DAT heads?

Newbie question: What's the best way to clean the heads in my DAP1?

http://www.prodigitalinc.com/  probably the best in the business.  If you don't have a dry cleaning tape, i'd go through them.  They serviced my deck, and only good things from pro digital.  Good luck.

You have some nice gear for a "newbie".   :)

I would recommend the dry tapes to clean the heads.  If you're still experiencing drops and such, send it out to get fixed/cleaned professionally.

Any maker's dry tape better than others? Sony okay?

Dont clean the heads to offen with the dry cleaner. I would guess about 40 hours. Its not good for the heads. Get a pro cleaning regularly
