AT 853 Wire to Pin Assignments
« on: December 27, 2004, 01:18:22 PM »
Hey,

I'm modding my at853's and i want to stick regular xlr's on the end not mini's. I found the wiring assignments for the mini xlrs but not the regulars and I believe they are different.  Could someone tell me what the assignments are for regulars xlr's?  Thanks!

sanjay;

you HAVE to use one of these Phantom Power Adaptors such as AT8533, AT8533x, AT8531, Samson PM4, etc.  you can't simply run the AT853 into a pre and run phantom.  believe me, i tried to find ways to bypass the adaptors w/o success.
