Coax>XLR question
« on: November 13, 2003, 04:07:34 PM »
I have some mic cables lying around and I need to get/make a coax>XLR cable to go from my 248 to my minime, so my question is this: Could I cut the mic cable and solder a coax on the end of it?  if yes, which wires would I need to connect to what?  if no, how would I go about making these cables and how hard would it be? (decent @ soldering)

rca is the term you mean

coax is a type of digital cable

rca is the type of plug you want the cable to terminate into

yeah you can do it... pretty common cable but I can't tell you off hand what goes where.

just trying to keep things clear...

i think this thread answers the same question. you need a XLR > RCA, right?
