Apogee Ensemble for Live Performance?
« on: April 26, 2012, 06:03:13 PM »
I'm trying to build a PA system for an acoustic/mic solo gig.  could I use my macbook > apogee ensemble and plug into pa speakers directly from the ensemble?

I realize that there might be glitches using a laptop vs mixing board but it should run fine if it's possible.

Thanks

Your Apogee Ensemble has balanced  line level 1/4 inch TRS outputs. If your speakers are Powered, and have either XLR or 1/4 balanced inputs you are good to go.

If your powered speakers only have unbalanced inputs, then it'll still work, but you'll have a loss of 6db.
