This might be a little OT -but thought I'd ask.
Semi familiar with its feature set...like the surround feature.
Not looking for audiophile results - just legible speech in smallish, generally quiet meetings in my small town.

I use my m10 and d50 to do so, your zoom should do ok, too.

I guess it comes down to alternatives - the H2N can be set to pick up sounds from all directions onto separate tracks, and at its price, I doubt whether there's anything better for the purpose - the alternative being to have a roving mic (or roving recorder) moved right in front of whoever is speaking, with individual mics into a mixer and recorder for principal speakers if any - which I suspect isn't a viable alternative.

If you can set the Limiter function to "ON" or even use an auto-level mode, that is usually fine for speech. Bass Roll-Off is good if there is a possibility of wind noise, or table pounding.
