Really? You think the low end of the TL's was loose with the V2? Hmph. I have never heard that in my tapes. I always thought that the V2 tightened up the bass significantly. Goes to show you that no 2 people here the same thing the same way.

That's what I was thinking...that the V2 would tighten up the bottom end....I guess a p-mod ua-5 would do about the same as well?
Thanks again Jason and +T for the offer!
I absolutely agree that the ADK>V2 makes a great combo, but just realize he's going into a D7, not an outboard a/d, not a DAP1, not even an M1. The a/d in the D7 will absolutely kill that natural clear extended high end of the V2. If you can sell the D7 and pick up one of the other DATs I mentioned, go for it, but it seems you'll have close to $1k invested. At that point, I'd just tell you to save up for a few more months until you can get the V3.
If one of your goals is to "tighten up" the low end, the p-mod will definitely help - probably more than the V2. The p-mod sounds tight, fast, and dynamic, with outstanding clarity. It doesn't sound as full in the low end as the V2, nor does it compare with the natural and extended highs of the V2.
