Splitting an optical signal? UA-5 dual output?
« on: May 25, 2004, 11:09:39 AM »
Has anyone successfully split an optical signal out of a UA-5 to a JB3 and another recorder? I have the Sony DA10P optical cable for my M1, and i have a few of those passive ratshack optical splitters.... has anyone actually pulled a recording this way?  i'll probably experiment with it but wanted to see if it was theoretically possible before i wasted my time.

Other question is, does the Oade digi mod for the UA-5 enable simultaneous Optical and Coax output?  that would make dat patching just as easy....

Check the UA5 FAQ in the Archival Info forum.  Sorry, can't help on the passive optical splitter question.
