I'm looking to get two more mic stands in addition to the one I use for stereo pair configs, and I need some recommendations if you have any. Thanks!

My requirements are as follows:

1. Will use for split omnis on stage (split far apart) at times
2. Will use to mic individual instruments or amps at times
3. Probably want an articulating boom arm
4. Needs to be a decent size, but flexible in positioning (range of head-high to floor amps)
5. Needs to be portable, preferrably collaspable/foldable such that I can just throw it in my video tripod bag (which is where I put my stereo pair stand and cables usuailly)
6. Reasonably priced

I think I'm going to buy two of these:

Does anyone have any experience with "On Stage" stands?

Am I a fool for wanting a collapsable model? Am I going to regret that when my stand falls or gets knocked down all of the time? Can I resolve that by taping down with Gaffer's tape?

Any other recommendations for something else?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I use an 'On-Stage' mic stand and it does what I need it to. I would suggest getting it somewhere other then the link you have posted though. I got my stand on Ebay for about $25 shipped, and B&H wants $35 for the stand alone...there are always auctions on Ebay for 2 of the same stands for a Buy it Now price of $30.
Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/2-ON-STAGE-NEW-TRIPOD-BOOM-MICROPHONE-MIC-STANDS-MS7701_W0QQitemZ7398353265QQcategoryZ29948QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I think shipping will cost you about $16 - $17...so you'd be paying about $50 compared to $80 that B&H would charge you after everything.

 Hope this was helpful.
