Title: ease of replacing speaker foam?
Post by: ellaguru on February 18, 2008, 03:31:26 PM
ok...ive never done it....

just noticed the dry rot on the old 601's.....and i know that they're not the swellest speakers around, but i just cant afford a new set of speakers (or at least not ones id want) at this time...

any tips?  any horror stories?  i see the kits are avail for under $40 which doesnt seem too unreasonable....

thanks agian

It's not hard at all. Once you've done it a couple of times it gets really easy. You might just want to order an extra foam in case you screw one up.

fear not. i did my 22 year old infinitys 12 years ago and they're still going strong.  that was the 1st and only time i've done it and it was simple.  a cheap easy fix.
