snapped some pics of Leegeddy's speaker cables
« on: March 11, 2005, 06:29:38 PM »
Here are some pictures guys, I hope to review them after this weekend.. probably Monday. Until then these pics will have to do...

the quality of the build is very nice, the jacket seems very rugged.

cables in my hand, from top to bottom: Leegeddy's, Synergistic Research Alpha's, Home Depot 14Ga extension

with a nickel to show relative size

I rolled the red and black sleeves down a bit to give me some more room to work with

the jacket reminds me of the bettercables.com stuff

Is that a biwire set or two conductors per run?

They look nice.  Is it telfon coated silver?

2 conductors per run

not positive on the teflon so I'll leave that up to Marc. It seems very similiar to the bettercables.com stuff so I think so but I'm not positive, sorry.

Thanks Tim! +T for the pics

Here's what marc (hope ya don't mind me posting this  :) ) PMed me about the speaker cables:

>>
they are quad runs.  4 wires per channel.

they are made of teflon jacketed silver clad wires, twisted in a quad config. i don't use the same wires as the interconnects since i don't need shielding.  these are much heavier guage wires.  <<

late day at the office for me....

yes, to answer the question about the wires they are silver plated ofc with teflon insulation.  the quad wires are then further wrapped in teflon jacket.

tim, if you look at the bare wires you'll see that they are almost bright white, which is a great indicator of high silver content. these cables are all mil-spec wires that are used by our armed forces and NASA.
