Windows XP - Blue lettering External HD

I recently bought a 320g seagate internal SATA drive and put it into a kingwin sata to usb 2.0 enclosure. I partitioned it and formated as an ntfs. The first format failed half-way through and the second format went fine. The drive seems to work fine. The wierd thing is that the lettering is blue when I look a list of my drives in My Computer. Also all the file and folder names that I copy onto the drive are blue.
Does anyone know if there is particular signficance to this or just a benign wierdness?

WinXP can show files/folders that are encrypted or compressed in color. Check
with
the Windows folder. If you've d/l'd updates or service packs for install, you'll probably see all those folders in blue also.
