Boom mic stand question
« on: April 13, 2004, 12:49:09 AM »
I'd like to get a boom mic stand to put the boom over a balcony. How would I attach my mics, I've got t-bar but I was thinking it would be pointing down at an angle. How can I compensate for this angle?

u need to get one of these.  I just used this last week for the exact thing your trying to do, off a balcony, and need to compensate for the angle.  This allows for that forward or backward movement you need.  I just had it lying around i think i got it with my old tbar, i don't know. but i'm sure if you check around at most music shops you should be able to get one.  good luck.

Just out of curiosity what type of stereo bar is that? Been thinking about replacing mine.

Yea the akg rocks.  i would also reccomend getting a rapido or 2 and mounting one arm below the center and one above to get some necessary spacing.  anyone got a source on the 5/8" to 5/8" adapter w/ the adjustable neck?
