so nice....

Sam Ash had them on sale friday for $899 so we picked 1 up while we're waiting for MOTU to repair the firewire port on our 828mkii(mental note, on hot sweaty days, make sure you dry your hands before you plug in firewire/power cables...).
its big, 2U, but the metering is SO nice compared to most other units. love that you dont have to cycle through ports to raise/lower trim.

only been able to use it once so far, but it instantly made setting up the multitrack session much easier.
hopefully we can sell our 828(gen1) and pick up another 896HD in the near future...2x 896HD + 828mkii = 24+ channels of 24/96   ;D

this is the unit i really want to move to.  just need to find a sucker to buy my protools rig  :P
