Has anyone with DPA 4060/4061's been able to hear and compare the MMA6000 with a Church Audio pre?  I hear great things about both...

I'd love to hear this comp. Anyone interested in doing one I'd be happy to send you my Church st-9100
TDS!

I'm VERY happy with my 4061>MMA6000>MT stealth rig.

maybe just phantom power if you want to stay cheap. a deneke ps2 should run just over 100 bucks.  i ran it with mk4s when i went small and it worked well. also, it'll give you straight mic sound rather than a pre taste. with the dpas i would not be afraid of hearing just the mic.

Yesterday I've have been to man who has a universal-degree in sound-engineering.
Talked with him about DPA4061 mics in combination with my Microtrack 24/96.

This man claimes it ain't necessary to use the MPS-60x0 or other battery modules
to power the mics. This because MT itself seems to delivering the power. He also
claims the use of pre-amps or whatsever is useless..

Are there any people here which have been trying this before?
Any thoughts about this matter??

if it provides power then your next step is to record something. if you like the sound, you're done.
