This baffles me:

Frequency Response: 100Hz ~ 10kHz

Also, I don't know if I would call this "cardioid"...

What is your opinion on these? Any experiences?

Apogee Mic

I have the i436 omni which I use on my iPhone with a sound level meter app + the plug-in to tell the app that it's the i436 I'm using (this knows the characteristics of the mic. and iPhone and adapts accordingly).

This is a wide-cardioid (or hypo-cardioid) and not a cardioid.

But I always worry when people only show the polar-pattern at 1kHz and not at other frequencies.

Also the frequency response from 100Hz to 10kHz is a pretty horrible response for any microphone.

They also don't mention the SPL they can handle, and the mics' short length would make them pretty hard to mount correctly in order to tape anything...

My wife has an old iPhone 3 that I wish it worked with, it would be a nice low key easy to use recorder and to do 24 bit would be fantastic!
