« on: July 31, 2004, 10:08:45 PM »
just looking at different caps/ settings for mics and get what sub-card is, i think :P, but don't know if supercard would be useful in concert taping...

supercard is another name for a hyper card, to the best of my knowledge at least :P ;)

looks like a supercard is inbetween a card and a hyper in some areas :)

the rear lobe is smaller in the super, and the width of the super looks more like a card, bet its a yummy pattern, i wish my 480's had something like that :)

I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia

you would use it just like a hyper cap

supercard justa 'nother name for hypercard..  at least i allways thought it did..    vaguely similar to the amount of different ways i see "cardioid" spelled ..
and its a "hypercardioid" pattern on the 170..  at least that's what Neumann calls it..

Interesting...  Maybe when I fall into some extra cash I'll pick up a pair for testing.

Edit - Just checked their catalog and they only offer card, hyper, omni, and shotgun caps...  Where'd you see something about the supercards?

I think their page might be wrong.  I have a feeling the 1290s is the shotgun...
