Wind rumble in my stealth mics
« on: September 13, 2004, 10:44:50 AM »
I am planning on stealthing for the first time this weekend at a large festival. I plan on using the SP version of the AT933 (I forget what number they call them) then into the battery box with dual levels and bass roll off. Then AD-20>JB3. They will be mounted in a hat. I set this all up earlier and noticed I am getting a very audible wind noise and the levls then clip. This was happening whenever I just slightly turn my head, so I know this wouldn't work say if the winds were 5-10 mph. They have the stock windscreens on them and I also put them in my stock screens for my AKG 391's, still the wind noise though. I then went to Home Depot and bought a very dense spounge and placed a part of it over each mic, still no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?
