Title: S/PDIF Cables
Post by: blu666z on March 01, 2004, 03:45:41 PM: I have a couple of the BIG orange cables from Rat Shack. I like it a lot but it is way too long for use in my bag. Also would be better with a right angle. Any problems with cutting off one end to shorten it and add the right angle? Where is the best place to get the new connectors?

The Phoneix right angle RCAs look decent......

Do they still pass a digital signal w/o any problem? I'd like to find a right angled cable or adapter for the back of a Mini-Me as it usually sits up-right in my gig bag. Thanks for the info!

if it's your first time soldering, buy a few extra connectors, but it's really isn't that hard. Go for it!

The guy made me 2 right angle coax cables for under 8 bucks each. Prob the same amount Markertek charges for shipping.
