Hi everyone !
My name is Tim and I'm French. I am going to buy an AKG HSC (Condenser) 171 headset for video-game commentating (By the way, if you know this product or some of its substitutes do not hesitate and tell me - I may need some more advices)
The HSC 171 being a condenser microphone I am told by AKG to buy this cable (Excuse me for linking a provider, no adv. intended)

However another less expensive cable exists - the cable for the dynamic AKG HSD 171

I own an M-Audio Fast Track pro which has a +48V Phantom Power.
Here is my question : Do I need to buy the HSC-HS STUDIO C cable or can I just buy the HSC-HS STUDIO D and use it with my M-Audio box which will deliver the power needed trough the XLR ?
Here is the website of AKG, see the Cable sets section.

Thank you so much for your answer. I have really been searching a lot on the subject, but when it comes to such little details it gets impossible to find something. Thanks again ! All the best from France to all of you !
