Title: 722 recording & file deletion problem
Post by: not logged in on April 11, 2005, 02:01:38 PM
while testing the 722 i discovered a potentially very serious glitch -- at least if you don't know about it.

the 722 stopped recording, reporting that the hard drive was full.  in fact the hard drive was not even close to being full.  seems that even though files are deleted and the lcd panel shows plenty of recording time remaining, at least for some purposes the 722 software still treats the files as present on the drive and reducing available space.

for those with access to the sd user forum here's the thread

reformatting the drive resolved the problem..  but, further testing (running the 722 until it ran out of disk space again & then deleting the files) showed that the glitch was still there.

has anybody recorded enough on their 722 to know whether this is a problem on all 722s or just mine?
