so teddy graciously sent me two batteries for the 722 PLUS a lenmar double charger and i was wondering, how does one know when the batteries are done charging? ??? >:D
there is a green light on each battery in the charger, does it turn red or simply turn off ???
-
red while charging, green when charged and ready. I have the double charger and I think the instructions said to leave it charging for an extra hour or 2 when the light changes to green.
they should show about 8.0 V on the 722 meter when fully charged.

raig, thanks, the 722 will be in my hands at 8am tomorrow ;D

craig, with taht lenmar omnisource udo charger, how long does a battery take to fully charge? say a 6500mah battery?
-
lenmar.com says 750mAh in 2 hrs.
375mah
6500/375= 17.3hrs
Seems kinda excessive.

The lenmar mach1 isn't much better @ 1500mah. still would take 4.3hrs.
The internal 722 charger charges a 1000mah

Yea, I never run mine down that far so generally after a few hours the top & right will go to solid amber instead of a brief flashing amber. This indicates the unit has stopped charging. I like to unplug the ac for a second and then re-plug it in to top em off. A rough estimate would be for every hour you record an hour of recharge time is required.
I don't know why they make these li-ion charges so underpowered since the technology can handle a 1C charge rating. ie. a 4000mah batt can be charged @ 4000mah, a 6500mah battery can be charged at 6500mah, etc... Should never take more than an hour to recharge a battery no matter what the size.
