some help on this combination for record live concerts? the ecm 717 is better? please help me.

The ECM717 is better but neither are ideal.  You'd be better off to get a decent pair of mics like the Church Audio cards or something similar and a decent preamp.  The Sonys don't have the best frequency range and lack a good bass response.
