I've been using one the the sling200 bags with a Nikon D2H and support equipment for about a year.  It is well made, but my dog decided to chew on the buckles until they crumbled off... He's a happy boy.

just got back from daughter's H.S basketball game.  bag worked great.  found out that the bag can hold my 70-200mm lens w/ body on from the side!  and the top of the bag fits the 50mm lens w/ body perfect.  should of bought somthing like this YEARS ago.  ed

I have the Slingshot's cousin, the FastPack 200.  Similarly well built, functional, etc., and I love the ability to transition quickly from backpack to sling-style.

When I first started looking for a bag, I saw the slingshot in a local Ritz.  I looked it over and thought...now that's really a stupid bag!  So I bought something else.  Then a couple weeks later I figured out how the slingshot works and realized that I'm the stupid one.   :-[

I have one too.  It's a great idea.  But, sometimes I just want to hang it on one shoulder, like you might do with a regular backpack, without looping it over my head.  It's not really made to that, and it slips off my shoulder easily.  I find "slinging" the thing around from your back to your belly to pull stuff out is great...except when you are wearing a heavy coat...sometimes the "slinging" action twists your shirt around too, which is annoying (nitpicking, I know).

...some things to think about....

It's a great bag, made very well, but IMHO...not perfect.

$50 is great price, btw.  I think I paid $69 at Costco months back.
