Topic: Please help me choose a camera

I am looking for advise.  Perhaps I am asking for a lot in an a camera, I don't know.  I'm not experienced with photography or digital cameras, but need to get a new one as my Olympus FE-190 just doesn't satisfy me.  So, here's what I'm looking for:
- small, light point and shoot
- flush lens with auto lens cover
- takes good pictures easily (auto in a variety of situations)
- easy to use (dummy proof)
- good/great quality video is a plus
- being able to attach extra optics is a plus but last on the list
This camera will be used to document audio recordings during travel.  I have looked into the S90 for a couple hours this evening.  Looks great, but it is a little big, a little expensive and doesn't do video.  Thanks in advance!

I can't say enough about the panasonic TZ series camera's.  Spyder9 turned me onto them...They have however been replaced by a new series, the Z series.  The Z-3 should fit your bill.  IA function makes picture taking idiot proof in most situation.  I use mine(TZ) for concert pictures for the shows I record.....It takes awsome pictures in low light....and if your good with photoshop you can make them even better....I have included a link..

Yup, looks like a great option, thanks.
During a little research, I also ran across the Canon sx200 IS.
Anyone have first hand experience with both of these cameras?
From the videos I watched, it seems like the Canon is quieter on the microphone while the panny seems to have 'noisy' sound.
Do both of these have functioning zoom in video mode?
