Which preamp for M10 and CMRs
« on: November 14, 2010, 02:02:47 AM »

I have MK21's>CMR's>tiny box>M10.

As I have a PFA Phantom power adaptor for plug-in power, I could connect my CMR's to a Phantom Power preamp.
Which one would you suggest?
Will I achieve a significant sound improvement over the tiny box?
Is the M10 that I should change, let's say moving to D-50?

CA-11's>CA-9200>M10

I don't see anything wrong with the gear chain you have!!  If you want to change it up and grab a D50 I would also get a SD UBSpre2 or V3 optimod so you can use the digi in on the D50.  I really think it comes down to personal preference and budget in your situation, since you have great caps.
