ok i got the akgs and im wondering what the heck are thes little cap looking things for they are real tiny they have a soft thing inside and they are plastic ??

Could be one of 2 things...either they're the hyper caps (which just screw onto the regular cards) or the "polar presence booster" which I never used when I ran them...

The small kinda hockey puck shaped one is the presance boost......supposed to, I believe, add mid/high freq boost.

The conical plastic thing, when placed over the cap, makes them hypers.

The cone shaped cap when properly mounted on the diaphragm will convert it to a hyper.
The other cap, the 'presence' booster, is supposed to boost the treble response by +10dB.
