DA-P1 start ID Q.

Has anyone else ever had problems with other decks not seeing the start ID's when FF/RW a tape ?? My D8 and DA20MKII isn't catching them sometimes... its weird!

did you have A-time on? the only reason i ask is because the DA-P1's we use at school all have ID/A-time problems when i try to play my tapes back in the panasonic, sony, and Tascam decks in the studio .....  it's weird.

do you see them on the DA-P1?

yeah, see them fine on the dap1, but the da20Mk2 and d8 doesn't always catch them, like doing a skip, it'll go right past them. if I back up the tape, and then play, it will then catcht he id (can see it show id # 2 or 3, etc). fuckin weird.

i never used the id numbers till i got a better home dat deck, now, with a jog dial it is easier to accurately number that stuff, but the p1 always gave me all sorts of screwey numbering.
