Advice Please...
« on: September 13, 2004, 09:39:10 AM »
Just done my latest recording.

A song from the gig is here .. http://www.apat10.dsl.pipex.com/sheff-solow.mp3

I think its reasonably good, anyone spot any problems with the sound etc ?
I increased the gain to 10db on my Nomad for the first time, with the batt box turned up full.
I think it done the job?

Thanks

Norman

sounds pretty good to me..  only improvement i can see is getting the mics higher in the air, but i guess you wear them on body which is ok..

Its a band called Ocean Colour Scene, they have been going for 10 years+ now in the UK.
I dont think they made anywhere near famous outside the UK.
Their offical site is www.oceancolourscene.com, the best fan site (someways better than the offical site ) is www.oceancolourtheme.co.uk.

The acoustic stuff (as supplied) gets described as folky, and their heavier stuff as sort of brit rock.

Best know for their anthems, The Riverboat Song, Day We Caught The Train and The Circle.
Although most people know very little of their music, they have 6 maybe more albums.
Their "Sales Rank" on the uk version of amazon for their latest album is 24,387, so they arent very popular, but quality
band IMO.

Thanks fro the advice guys, will try and get the mics a little higher next time!
