The gear in my following 2 posts is:

Turntable - Linn Sondek LP12, with Linn Ittok arm & Benz Micro cartridge
Preamp - Linn Wakonda
Power Amp - Linn LK140
CD Player - Linn Mimik
DVD Audio Player - Denon DVD-1920
DAT - Sony PCM-R500
DAT - Panasonic SV-3800
Speakers - Linn A5140
There's also an Airport Express next to the lamp for streaming music from the laptop & hard drives in the office.

Nothing fancy... but it sounds pretty sweet.  And in case you didn't notice... NO VIDEO.

Very nice!  Looks like you have a nice library of material there!

So what do you use to switch between all of the different playback sources?

Related to my post on the previous page...I'm looking for something to replace my old receiver and am not sure which way to go...so I'd love to hear what you use or suggestions for other options.

you select sources via the preamp, it has multiple inputs.

as for your new amp/receiver, start a fresh thread and tell us...
1. what speakers
2. what your budget is
and we can start laying out some options

Nothing wrong with video.  I just like to keep mine in another room.  I guess it goes back to when I used to have the video with the main audio system in my house... I'd come home from work to find the wife & kids watching tv (through the main system)... so if I wanted to play music it was on a smaller system in a bedroom.  When we got a bigger house, I made sure to have a room dedicated to audio.  Of course now that I'm no longer married and the twin boys are in college, I can do what I want ;^)

OIC.  im my case ive got tons of concert dvds which are 2 channel audio and are best viewed on a good two channel system.   .

....and i dont think its a valid man cave if its also the main family tv too.

That was the problem before.  It was my stuff, but definitely not a man cave...  My goal now is to not only have a man cave... but a MAN HOUSE.
